Sector 1: The Snail Curve
The lap starts with the endlessly tightening right-hander of Turns 1 through 3. Drivers shed speed continuously while turning, testing front-end downforce and mechanical grip to the maximum.
Sector 2: Technical Sweepers
High and medium speed corners characterize this section, ending with the banked Turn 13 that launches cars onto the longest straight of the entire Formula 1 calendar.
Sector 3: The Back Straight
An immense 1.2-kilometer long back straight. Slipstreaming is extremely powerful here before the heavy braking zone into the Turn 14 hairpin, the prime overtaking location.
